Developing healthy eating habits is the first step towards developing a healthy lifestyle. It's amazing how once you make a habit of something it is no longer difficult to keep doing it and that goes for bad as well as good habits. Here are a few habits that would fall into the good habits category so. Start by focusing on each one individually until that one is now a habit of yours and then move on to the next one. Drink lots of water - drink at least eight glasses a day of water to keep your body hydrated and performing at its best. Increase the amount during really hot weather or during exercise. Eat small meals all through the day - try not to gorge yourself at lunch or breakfast, rather eat a healthy snack between meals to control your hunger and then reduce your portions at mealtime. Better to eat smaller portions several times a day than to eat large meals at extended intervals. Don't skip breakfast - it's not hard to understand why it's the most important meal
